In a lead-up to Primer 2, we were tasked in groups to select a theme of either Reconciliation, Reflection and Remembrance. My group chose Rememberance.

 

We then had to do secondary research on a Singaporean war hero, after which we were to choose three emotive adjectives to describe her feelings at different stages of her life, in a progressively positive or negative order. We chose Sibyl Kathigasu, choosing the emotions pain, longing and solace.

 

For each of the emotions, we had to select 7 works of art (sculptures, paintings, photographs, poetry etc.) representative of that emotion, after which we were to choose four to display in the studio for the other students to take inspiration.
