As a continuation of our Schematic Design Review, this segment of the project required us to resolve compliance issues in accordance to building codes, such as fire escape routing, basement circulation planning and escape distancing. We were also tasked to complete the design of our feature space with considerations for persons with disabilities (PWDs).

My feature space is designed to reflect the pixelated language of the volumes and façade, therefore I conceived the ground public domain as a series of raised timber deckings of varying height, allowing me to create interesting spaces of comfort, congregation and relaxation. This would allow both workers and visitors to enjoy creative exhibits while appreciating the visual articulation of the diagonal void punctuating through the building.
