DECODING TROPICAL OFFICE DESIGN |
One Raffles Quay
MASSINGS
FLOOR PLANS
In groups, we were tasked to study One Raffles Quay, a business center located in the Central Business District in Singapore, and compile a report based on facade strategies, passive environmental considerations (daylighting and wind flow) through diagrammatic studies.
We did this through analysing the shadow range of the building from northeast, northwest, southeast, and southwest directions during both solstices and equinoxes, as well as using Autodesk Flow Design to study wind flow across the site (NNE and SW).
In addition, I wrote a short exposition on the dominant trend in office design during that time period and how One Raffles Quay situates itself in this epoch.
